ES News attended the Blue Lights Horse of the Year Show 2009 at Aintree International Equestrian Centre in August to watch members of the police, fire and ambulance services – together with their animal counterparts - compete in various competitions and events.
Around 2,000 people were treated to an entertaining day as they witnessed performances from the mounted horse section, the police dogs and Merseyside Police Band.
